How lucky are we now all the berries are in season, blackberries, blueberries, raspberries. I just can’t get enough of them. I love them for breakfast with 0% Greek Yoghurt, what a wonderful and healthy way to start the day. Personally I could eat them for breakfast, lunch and dinner….. however, I wanted to just let you know why we should be eating them regularly.
Packed with antioxidants they keep our memory sharp which as we all know is so important as we age, raspberries contain a compound that has anti-cancer properties and all berries are a fantastic source of fibre which is so important for our digestive system. On top of this they are packed with vitamin C and vitamin K.
They are bright, sweet super fruits, so tuck into a bowl this evening and get your super sweet fix.
Ps don’t forget Strawberries although at the end of their season still a fantastic antioxidant, I would just go for a full mix of all……. Yum.
