Mr and Mrs Stress

You wake up and for one moment you feel relaxed and stress free, then the thoughts come flooding in, what you have to do today, deadlines, running around dropping children off a school, chores, admin that can’t wait any longer……. Panic then sets in as you you don’t have enough hours in the day to fit everything in.  Yikes!!  But stop, stop panicking and start thinking rationally.  Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and relax - ok just for 5 minutes but relax.

Have a pad ready with pen and write down what you actually really have to do that day, what can really wait until tomorrow, plus what can really wait until next week.  Not everything has to be done in one day.  Classes, appointments yes, these must be met, but administration!!  List everything down that you need to do, then prioritise it doesn’t matter if you don’t tick everything off your list in one day.  It is more important to have a plan to finish that list in order of priorities.

Live in the moment, stretch like a cat releasing all the tension in your body, because if you are not stressed you will work through that to do list much quicker and really life is about today, not tomorrow or next month, or next year.
