Many people have asked me why do you practice Vinyasa yoga when there are so many different options to practice.
Fair question they are right we have so many options and different yoga styles, but for me, I love Vinyasa which means literally “to place in a certain way” it is used to describe the movement with the breath which is why it is normally incorporated with a flow.
With Vinyasa it is all about connection, so connection between movement and breath plus a connection between poses and moving into a flowing sequence. We do this simultaneously when we start with a sun salutation sequence, it is a more complex vinyasa as each movement or asana in the salutation is cued by the inhalation or exhalation of breath.
Vinyasa is fun, with music playing, flowing movements everyone looks graceful and what is better than moving through a sequence and then catching yourself in a mirror in a perfect pose like the Warrior.
